What is the final speed of USB 2.0?
480Mbps. Originally, USB 2.0 was intended to go only up to 240Mbps but USB 2.0 Promoter Group took a detour in Oct. 1999 with the announcement of a speed boost of USB 2.0 to the current speed.
According to the new spec, USB 2.0 devices transfer in three speed: High-speed (480Mbps), full-speed (12Mbps) and low-speed (1.5Mbps).
