Didn't work on my Abit KT7 m/b I'm guessing due to power consumption.

£30 4 port USB PCI card (OPTI chipset) works great. Perfect connections for as long as you want and high speeds.

Excellent for online games -average ping is now about 40ms

I can not give this product any kind of rating because of its limited functionality with my system. Everytime I use a 100k of bandwidth or so it locks my computer up. Also I can not find a place on the alatel website to dl drivers. Anyone know where to get updaed drivers for this thing? Please e-mail ne or post a comment on here if you know.

Forget what you've seen... Mine does what I've read can not be done. It works well with my Internet Connection Sharing, as well as maintains an EXCELLENT speed. It is running fine with the other five USB items I have running concurrently within Win98SE, so the power draw is acceptable. Any problems with ICS is likely user perception error. VERY GOOD unit... but looks like a stingray. I may have to paint it ANY other color.

Excellent installation - no probs whatsoever, just a shame the drivers aren't supported in Windows ME and therefore "Blue Screen of Death" me everytime I exit Windows! (something to do with the NDIS vxd's)

Any sugesstions btw?

Rubbish modem that occasionally draws in excess of 500ma from the USB Host thus causing it to crash on any motherboard which restricts such spikes.

BT Opwenworld have foisted this thing on us without any choice and I am consistently being cut off within 20 mintues constant use.

I am not alone, many other BT Opwneorld users running AMDs/Abit motherboards have the same problem.

Don't buy... go for some else who actually bothers to produce a product that meets minimum spec and doesn't exceed 500ma.

Easy to install, easy to use and fast.

No problems encountered, except on compaq's.

They aren't compatible with anything !

Looks nice, simple to install. Doesn't work with Windows 2000 SMP machines. No linux or mac drivers yet.

Doesn't work with all Windows 2000/98SE/ME machines if they use an Addon USB card.

Example Compaq Professional Workstation 5000.

Pentium Pro 200

64meg ram.

SCSI HDD, 9gig

Just won't work whatever you try
